A Doctor's note is required for the following:

-anyone with an existing cancer diagnosis

-Diabetes (types 1 & 2)

These instructions are ESSENTIAL to follow. They are intended to avoid thinning of the blood, which causes bleeding. In turn this causes pigment to be pushed out of the skin leaving you with imperfect, unideal results. We want you to leave with the best brows possible and long lasting results!

We look forward to meeting you!

LONG TERM CARE

The results of your PMU will depend on how you take care of your brows during the healing process and BEYOND. To enjoy your healed results longer, always apply sunscreen when exposed to sunlight. It is imperative that you wear  SPF 40+ on your brows when outside to keep them looking fresh for longer and prevent colour fading/changing. Avoid the use of exfoliants on the brow area (retin-A, glycolic/hydroxyl acids, exfoliating scrubs, chlorine). When receiving any cosmetic procedures on your face, please inform the individual performing the service that you have had Permanent Makeup. Up keep with hair growth and shaping the brows by removing the surrounding hair around the permanent makeup and trimming the brow hair. Once the pigment has faded and new layers of skin grow over top of the existing permanent makeup it is time to come back for a refresh!

Post Care.

PERMANENT MAKEUP AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BROWS:

Day 1-2: You will be given pre-soaked cotton pads to cleanse the area at specific times.

Day 3-5: Leave the brows alone. They must be clean and dry.

Day 6: Apply the supplied aftercare balm once per day until all the scabs are off and the skin feels normal again.

You are NOT to use anything that is not provided on your eyebrows during the healing process.

First 7 days:

  • No water on the brows. Water or moisture will cause the scabs to come off prematurely and you will lose pigment. Wash your face with a small cloth or wipes and lean your hair back into a bath or shower when washing. We encourage you to go to a salon and have a professional wash your hair. Please explain the importance of keeping your eyebrows dry.

  • Absolutely no sweating. Sweat contains saline which is a removal agent.

  • No cream/makeup. Remember, your skin is open, and anything that gets in can cause an infection. Wait until the skin is closed (fully healed) to begin using any products.

Day 8: You can start washing your face and hair normally again.
First 2 weeks: No massages, facials, saunas, steaming, swimming.
First 3-4 weeks: No direct hot sun / sun tanning (the sun will cause pigment to grey or turn grey). Refrain from tanning, chemical peels, lasers, etc, (anything harsh on the skin).

It is imperative that you wear  SPF 40+ on your brows when outside to keep them looking fresh for longer and prevent colour fading/changing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Brows will appear darker and thicker up to 40% and thicker 10-15%. Scabbing forms over the strokes to protect the area while healing.

As the scabs start coming off, they may appear patchy (be patient, it's just a few days, the balm will help with the flaking and itching) DO NOT PICK* This will cause the brow strokes to become patchy in areas when healed.

The pigment under may look light or milky due to a thin layer of scar tissue. It’s completely normal. The colour will return.

The pigment will “come back” once a thin layer of scar tissue heals. The strokes in the brow will appear darker.

Anything that did not come back will be perfected in the following touch up session 4-8 weeks later.

Trust The Process.
